As part of Air Ambulance Week September 22^nd – 28^th 2008 the Air Ambulance are inviting you to join in…

Funky Footwear Friday!

Taking place on Friday 26^th September 2008 (or a Friday of your choice) Funky Footwear Friday is your opportunity to support your local Air Ambulance charity, whilst having a bit of fun.

All you have to do is…

Open your wardrobe and select your funkiest shoes, they could be odd shoes, have colourful laces, a pair of wellington boots…Anything!
Put them on your feet
Wear them to work, school or college
Make a suggested donation of £1 to the Air Ambulance and collect a funky button badge

Unlike some other charity days, the beauty of Funky Footwear Friday is staff, pupils or work colleagues can still wear their full uniform, only their shoes will be funky.

To register your workplace or school please email website@kaat.org.uk or click here to go through your Air Ambulance and to our Funky Footwear Friday pages. You will then receive a Funky Fundraising Pack containing:

Funky posters to advertise the day
A certificate for the funkiest shoes
“I’M FUNKY” and “RU FNKY” button badges for everyone taking part
Details of how to pay-in all the money you raise>

It costs £3 million a year to keep the life saving Air Ambulances in our skies. With no financial support from the Government, National Lottery or NHS, every penny has to be raised through voluntary donations from individuals, schools, groups, businesses and clubs.

By registering for Funky Footwear Friday you can help ensure the Air Ambulance continues to be available to every person living, working and travelling through our region, each day, should they ever need us.
