Kent Air Ambulance Trust carried out its first life saving mission on 23rd December 1989 and on that date this year, the trust starts its year long celebrations for the 20th Anniversary. Part of the programme of anniversary events is the overseas challenge to cycle
Team KAAT is made up of eight members from across the charity ranging from the events team to the pilot who flies the helicopter itself. In November 2010 they will cycle from
Icom, the first business to pledge support, has donated £550 (five hundred and fifty pounds) to the charity. Icom supply broadband and the charity’s telephone system.
Icom Product Manager, Ian Richardson, said: “It’s great to be associated with the Kent Air Ambulance, the guys there all do such a fantastic job and that goes right through the charity, from the volunteers to the doctors and to accounts team. We’re really proud to support the charity in its 20th Anniversary year, especially for something so fantastic and challenging.”
